10/10elegant exterior styling
The third-generation Volvo S60, introduced in the US in 2019, is one of the best-looking luxury compact sedans in the segment. With no major design changes to this 2019 model, other than a few design packs and subtle updates to the front silhouette, the 2023 Volvo S90 turns heads on the road.
We admire the S60's clean proportions, along with the sleek LED headlights and taillights, beautifully designed front fascia, dual air vents and large grille, as well as a number of darkened elements. The Black Edition package offers glossy black accents in the form of 19-inch black wheels, grille and rating markings, which help it stand out well. The 8 exterior color palettes and alloy wheel design also offer the necessary customization.
9/10beautifully designed interior
Step into the cockpit of the 2023 Volvo S60 and you'll be blown away by the overall feel and design of this nickname from Sweden. The cabin looks very different from German competitors and many potential buyers will appreciate that. Nappa leather upholstery makes for a comfortable cruise, and the panoramic sunroof brings in plenty of light.
Instead of the boring design of rivals, the Volvo S60 has a beautifully designed dashboard with carefully integrated infotainment and a digital instrument cluster. The glass shifter, premium leather inserts and metal mesh inserts in the center console also add to the premium factor.

8/10comfortable cabin
The 2023 Volvo S60 proved superior to other luxury compact sedans in height, width and wheelbase, which helped earn it the nickname's only one.the best cabin room overall🇧🇷 The front seats offer 37.4" of headroom and 42.3" of legroom, both taller than the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series.
The back row also has nothing to complain about, with three passengers having more than enough room to sit comfortably. The only point of criticism is the slightly protruding center tunnel of the S60. When it comes to cargo space, the 11.6 cubic feet is reasonable for the class. However, there is more than enough storage space in the cabin.
7/10The turbocharged four-cylinder is under the hood.
The non-hybrid base version of the Momentum comes with the B5 powertrain under the hood. It's a direct-injected, turbocharged 2.0-liter inline that comes without hybrid assistance and makes 247 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent via FWD or AWD drivetrains, and transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed automatic transmission.
0-60 MPH comes in 6.1 seconds and the car can reach a top speed of 131 MPH. The gearbox is quite fast and this helps the S60 to have better acceleration numbers than the Audi A4 and Cadillac CT-5. However, the 2023 BMW 3 Series offered a faster 0-60 MPH time of 5.3 seconds.
6/10There is a plug-in hybrid tuning
The plug-in hybrid powertrain is offered with S60 Recharge models. That isgives better performance and accelerationthan the non-hybrid B5 powertrain along with superior fuel economy. Powered by the 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor, it produces an impressive 400 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque.
The S60 Recharge's powerful powertrain ensures you get the best in acceleration and performance in the PHEV luxury compact sedan segment. A 0-60 MPH time of 4.3 seconds and a quarter mile of 13.1 seconds make it faster than the BMW 330e and Lexus ES 300h. AWD transmission is also standard.

Offering a base MSRP of $68,050, the performance has proven to be even better than the regular Recharge trim, and it also gets plenty of Polestar-specific interior, exterior, and mechanical upgrades.
It also comes with an Öhlins chassis, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and Akebono brakes that are sure to put a big smile on the driver's face. With 453 hp and 523 lb-ft of torque, the car helps achieve 60 MPH from standstill in just 5.1 seconds, outperforming all high-performance versions in the competition. Interior and exterior upgrades in the form of Nappa leather upholstery, glass Orrefors gear selector, sports steering wheel, high quality interior lighting and also 19" Polestar alloy wheels.
4/10Non-hybrid entry-level powertrain is economical
The 2.0 liter inline 4 turbo engine found under the hood of the 2023 Volvo S60 Momentum base trim makes it an economical everyday driver. It offered 26mpg in the city and 35mpg on the highway, for a combined gas mileage of 30mpg.
With a fuel tank capacity of 15.9 gallons, the 2022 Volvo S60 also has a highway range of 556 miles. However, if you want an even more fuel-efficient daily driver, we recommend Recharge's plug-in hybrid models, as they offer 74 MPGe and an all-electric range of 41 miles.
3/10Comes with all safety and driver assistance technologies
Volvo is a brand known for unrivaled safety, and the spirit carries over to this 2023 S60 model. The car offers solid build quality and its unibody design is based on Volvo's SPA platform. No savings are made on any of the basic security features.
In addition, it is equipped with all driving assistance technologies, such as: it received aOverall 5-star crash safety ratingalso in the NHTSA crash test.
TIED TOGETHER:Because of this, Volvo discontinued the V90 Wagon in the United States.

Audio is played through a 10-speaker audio system, but you can also purchase a 1400-watt, 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
1/10Many output model changes
One of the key aspects of choosing the 2023 Volvo S60 at a discounted price over the 2022 model is the long list of upgrades it comes with. Changes were made to the trim configurations and the powertrain names were changed as well. The T8 PHEV powertrain now offers better all-electric range while maintaining the same power and torque.
When it comes to bundles, a new Black Edition and Advance bundle are offered. The Advance package adds an upgraded air filter system, and the Black Edition package brings a lot of blacked-out elements to the S60.
